Rene Ochoa, Jr. was a father, son, brother and friend to so many that loved him.


Rene was born in McAllen, Texas on July 30, 1997. He went home to be with his Savior, August 18, 2020 at the age of 23 years old when the angels came down and carried him home.


Rene was a graduate of Trinity High School, class of 2015. He proudly served in the US Marines in 2017.  After being discharged from the Marines he moved to Palestine and became a first-time father. He worked as a welder. Rene loved sports and had a passion for baseball.


He resided in Palestine with his son Sebastian Rene Ochoa and the mother of his son Brenda Jaquelin Reyes. Rene had two brothers Thomas Russell Ochoa, Nicholas Ja Ochoa, one sister Savanah Renee Ochoa, his mother Angie Garces and husband Juan, Father Rene Ochoa, Sr., maternal grandparents Edwardo, Sr. and Angelica Rodriguez., Paternal grandparents Navar, Jr. and Diana Ochoa, Maternal grandparents to Sebastian, Juana Sanchez and Mario Reyes, Uncle Edwardo Rodriguez, Jr. and wife Fedra Irene and Uncle Jonathan Rodriguez and wife Juna Maribel.


Rene has left many treasured memories that we will cherish in our hearts forever.

Never gonna forget our time together in training and talking about the valley all the time since don’t meet many people from home, he was a outstanding friend and always had a way of helping put a smile on everyone’s face. I wish we got to spend so much more time together, You will be missed brother. Til Valhalla And Semper Fi.

I did not know Rene, Jr. very long, but from the first time I met him, he treated me like he had known me all of his life. He is the most beautiful soul, and I am so thankful to our Heavenly Father that he allowed me to know Rene, if only for a little while.

He was an amazing person always had a smile and could brighten anyone’s day. He is a hero to everyone who knew him and will always be loved. I hope to see you one day when we join our father.
