Not sure what to say?

Rene was always my favorite Sabre. I worked for the Sabres during my high school and college years in merchandising down in the basement of the Aud. Rene would come by on occasion to pick up some items and always made me feel part of the team! Before leaving the Sabres Rip Simoniac gave me one of Rene's jerseys. I still have it to this day. I loved watching him play. Rest in peace

I was always Rene Robert when playing street hockey as a kid. what an amazing Hockey Player. brought me alot of joy when I was a kid listening to the Sabre games. WKBW would drift in to New Jersey at night on the radio and i would always listen in.., He made the those sabres teams great. Rest in Peace Rene, the right side of the French Connection! Rest In Peace Rene. You were a great friend to me. You will never be forgotten. Prayers and thoughts are with your family.

So sorry to the family for such a great loss. Please accept my condolences. What a great legacy Rene leaves. What great memories. Vid be with the family.

Rene lived two houses from us in Punta Gorda, FL. We saw him taking dinner, that he made, every day for an elderly neighbor. He was quiet about this and yet it was a great help to his neighbor. He helped other neighbors too by walking their dog. We don't think he ever said no, but instead was always there to help. We were shocked by his death and miss him very much. Rest in peace, Rene.

Will truly miss my long time buddy. RIP

My deepest condolences to the Robert family. May you find comfort
in your treasured memories of Rene and May God continue to comfort you in the days, months and years ahead. Psalms 119:76

Will treasure the autographs that I got from you, as well as the old-timers' game in which you played. My only regret that is that I didn't get an autographed picture of you. Rest in peace:-) Ian McMaster Mississauga

My condolences.
