My wife and I wish to offer our condolences to the Rodriguez family. Please know that we walk in your pain. May Rene, our brother in Christ, rest in eternal peace.

Such a sweet and happy man with a delightful twinkle in his eyes. He was everyone's friend.
My deepest sympathy to his family on their loss.

Rene' was one of the truly good guys. He was a champion for the underdog, had a heart as big as Texas, and a soul of pure Tejano. He was fearless in his fight for justice for all. His work to shine a light on professional Chicanos and Chicanas started long before it was a popular cause - and his mentoring and direction proved itself with many Latinos and Latinas being elevated not only to the Bench, but to all other areas of Government. René was the kindest person you ever met. Once you knew him, you had a true friend for life. When he represented his clients, he gave them 100 per cent of his time. He will be missed by many . René God has called on you because he needed a very special angel. May you Rest In Peace my dear friend.

I met Rene a few times during Katie's tenure at GW and he was always larger than life. The stories paled in comparison to actually meeting him in person (maybe Katie was being modest?).

This transition to life without Rene will be difficult for everyone as he was larger than life. I wish the Rodriguez clan the best during this trying time. I will be praying for you all.
