My heartfelt sympathy to Laurie and family, as well as to all of Rene's friends. Heaven is blessed, yet again, with a gentle soul who exemplified the best of the human condition. For Rene and all those who preceded him and those who will follow, my deepest admiration and respect. The world has lost another hero, but his legacy will last forever.

Laurie, we are all Thankful that you included our "blog" family with your real family. Rene will always be with us in spirit.
