Not sure what to say?

Rene will always be remembered by me as the Gentle in Gentleman.
Not many people knew this side of Rene. The few who did loved him deeply.
I recall reading in the newspaper about a Mother and her disabled son who in the dead of winter with snow on the ground were homeless.
Rene found me crying and asked,"Whats the matter baby?"
I showed the article to him. He then went to work enlisting his friends to help they came up with and Apartment, furnished it, put food in...

The family,
I knew Rene through my daughter, DiAnne Harris, He was once dear to my husband, Mason, and myself. We had not seen him in many years. Howver, I wish to express my sorrow for your loss. I understand, from experience, how difficult these times are when you lose someone you love.
Sincerely
Betty Hartwell

Wilma,
Just a note to say that I am sorry for your loss. I knew Rene and his family long time ago. I worked for him at R's Hollywood Club and we worked together in the 70's at the Riverside West and Portland Motor Hotel. His Mom was very special to me, as he continued to be through the years. I hope you are doing well and remembering the good times with him.
Sincerly
DiAnne

You will be missed and are being missed as I type this. Mom was just teaching you how to use the computer and life was just teaching you how to slow down as you headed (with great joy and excitement) into retirement. The neighbors however have a different story. You were barely retired and yet they said you were in the yard. You were painting, mowing the lawn and washing your car. You would only have retired from the restaurant business...Not from life. Mom was excited about going to Victoria...
