I just received notice of Rene's passing. He was not only the father of my grade school friends John & Renee but for 4 years he shared his car with my brothers, Mike Seilor, Costello kids and me on our morning ride to Gonzaga. Rene was kind and generous with his occasional advise for a bunch of kids who needed it. I have thought of Rene often when I get together with my friends from high school who always spoke highly of him.
