Rene passed away on Monday, April 3, 2017. Rene was a resident of Louisiana at the time of passing. He graduated from East Ascension Academy in 1981. Rene graduated from SLU in 1987 with a major in history and a minor in Spanish. Visitation will be at Little Praire Baptist Church on Saturday April 8 from 9:30 to 10:30 followed by a memorial service.

Rene Watson was a very good man! He loved his family with all his heart and soul.The world is better for his having been here for 54 years. He is looking over his family and friends from heaven. Grief would be allowed by Rene briefly and then he would want you to laugh together and celebrate his life. He could always make me laugh!

I am so brokenhearted to hear of Rene's passing. What a sweet,caring,strong, polite, friendly guy he was.I have known him since EAA days. Everyone loved him! To Rene's family, I was so surprised of Rene's passing. I've known him, for a long time, since grade school at EAA. In high school I went on to St Amant High but he always considered you a classmate no matter what. He always had a kind word and a smile on his face when you saw him and always a hug for you. GOD has a good man with him now, and you all have a guardian angel now and he will be watching over you all his family and friends. We will all miss you Rene!!
