Hello Cousins and friends of Renee,

I answered Ernst Glindmeyer's request below to contact him in Germany at [email protected] and had the most delightful chat which made it feel like Renee was with us during the conversation. I could almost hear the low lick of her tapping on her "Saint's football ring" with her forefinger's happily painted fingernail :)

Then it just dawned on me that Renee had such a passion for genealogy and wealth of knowledge and contacts. So maybe...

with great regret I read from Germany Rene passed away. some years ago we made a fine research about the History of our both Glindmeyer families in old Germany and the emigration to New Orleans in 1860
I will keep Rene in my heart

What a wonderful person! We did Marti Gras way back when '71 I guess. Even talked marriage one time told her Mother we would live with her as a joke...boy she did NOT think that was funny...Rest is Peace My Dear Renee. Love, Art

I am so very sorry to hear of Renee's passing! My thoughts and prayers go to her family and friends. Renee was a warm, giving person who taught me a lot about genealogy-----and always went above and beyond what she needed to do. She even kept in touch after I finished her class. Thank you, Renee!! Your kindness, generosity,and expertise will be missed!!!
