Not sure what to say?

Dad this will be my last entry as your guest book will go off line on the 21st. It was a year ago today that you went home. I miss you so much. Thank you for loving me so much. My heart aches for those who never knew the love of their parents.
You were such a good Dad.
We put Ernie into Lyngblomsten a couple of weeks ago. It was getting too hard. I met Carol Baker and she was telling me how delightful you and mom were. She even kindof imitated you. It is like I can't get...

Dad, The new Roelofs baby is here. His name is William Ronald Roelofs. He sure is a winner. Looks a lot like Hank who everyone thought looked like you. He was born at 11:59 pm on Dec. 19. Nine months to the day after you left us.
This past week I have been very lonesome for you, remembering all the wonderful things about you. I still can see your precious grin. I've had the continual lump in my throat for the past 2 days. I think I feel kind of lost not having the Roelofs clan...

Hi Dad, I just got home from seeing Uncle Harry and Aunt Betty in Texas. They sure have a nice place down there and they were so good to us. I brought star fruit, grapefruit and oranges home and hot peppers.
The oranges and peppers were in payment for the debt he owed you from the bet you to made about the football game. When I cleaned out the drawer I mailed him the check he wrote and asked him if he owed the estate the $10 he told me I had to come and get it in fruit. Kelly Anna and...

Dad, The house is sold!!! Praise God. Rich and Alaina bought it just like you wanted. Rich said he always wanted that house. I know it had to do with all the fond memories he had there of you and Mom.
Just think another Gall baby will be born in your house. And another Roelofs baby is on the way. Brian and Tina are expecting their baby Dec. 24.
Life is marching on.
Gladys died a tragic death on April 29th. So on May 7th Ernie moved in with us in your room.
It was...

Dear Pam, I just read your letter to your Dad. How wonderful. You were blessed to have a Dad like Rube and he was blessed to have a family like yours. Continue listening to God and he will bring guidence and comfort in the loss of your Dad. Roger Biever, retired BN radioman Northtown

Dad, Well here it is a month a go that you left us. I miss you and mom more than you will ever know.
The deer came back the day after your funeral and the turkeys a couple days after that. i have nine turkeys out here. They sure are putting on quite a show. This Tom Turkey is something else. Strutting all over with his feathers all fanned out. They were even mating right out here in the open. i can hear Mom saying they sure are making it X-rated.
Live is not the same around here...

To Reub's family:
Although I have not seen Reub since we worked together at BN in the late 70's, he was a man I aways held in high regard. Reub was kind, generous, knowledgeble and very dependable. I have thought of him often over the years, and am saddened by his passing.

To the family of "Reub" Roelofs,

It was my pleasure to have known Reub for the last ten years as a member of the Osman Shrine Chanters. As a fellow tenor he and I spent many a Monday night over the years side by side singing and making great harmonies. This gentle giant of a man was an inspiration to me in my growth as a Shriner and as a man. His love of Gloria and the rest of his family was something that always was very apparent to me. We will miss Reub very much.

I am blessed to have had a Grandpa like Reuben. He was a kind man that loved his family and friends. He always spoke well of others and had a big heart for those who were less fortunate than he was. He held his time and resources with an open and generous hand. He loved to sing and laugh (which is one of the reasons why he and grandma got along so well). He loved his country and always encouraged us to "buy American to help the working man". He lived his life with strength and integrity. His...
