Not sure what to say?

To Fr. Finnegan's sister Dolores and family...
As you are well aware, your brother and uncle was a very special human being. He was a devoted and tireless servant of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Father Jim was the epitome of a true friend to all that he taught and served in his ministry. He was especially blessed with a very robust, combined, gift of intellect and down to earth humanity which he unselfishly shared with all who had the good fortune to cross his path....

To Fr. Finnegan's family...thank you for sharing your brother and uncle with so many of us. I first met him when he taught one of the hospice classes...it is because of Fr. Finnegan that I continue to still be involved in helping those along that part of the journey. Thanks for all that you did.

What a privilege for me to have known Father James Finnegan. He was kind, thoughtful, helpful and a blessing and good friend to all of us by his example and service to God. Thank you Father Finnegan.

Father Finnegan will be missed greatly. He made our sons baptism especially memorable. What a loss for this earth but such a wonderful gain for the Man above.

Dear Father Finnegan,
You were a pleasure to know, a blessing to all you served. Your demise is Earth's loss and Heaven's
gain. So happy you came My Way.

For all of us that had an opportunity to be taught by Fr. Finnegan at Allentown College of St. Francis DeSales, now DeSales University, there was no one else that could brighten up a room and engage a class like Fr. Finnegan! He loved to teach and we loved to listen to him. He made us laugh and he made us think. He wore his heart on his sleeve and he always believed in us when we didn't believe in ourselves. I will forever miss him and love him!

Father Jim was "pure gift" - a blessing that none of us fully deserved and yet were freely given anyway. He lived so fully for all of us, continually reaching out where others drew back, regularly meeting Christ's challenge to be His eyes, hands and feet on earth. Father Jim loved people and treated all of us as children of God; those of us who had the privilege of knowing him, no matter how briefly, will be forever touched by him. He was a rare being, a true man after God's heart. Surely...

Fr. Jim was a such a special soul and will never be forgotten. He was very dear to my family, and such an inspiration through many trials and joys in my family's life. His wisdom and sincere words were such a gift from God. He touched so many lives in such a spectacular way. We are all blessed in having known him. He will rest eternally with God and forever be our guardian angel. God Bless You Fr. Jim. I love you. ~ Mary

One of the greatest blessings of my life has been to know Fr. Finnegan. His teachings, his sermons, his life has been a profound blessing to me. Fr. Jim shall always be remembered as I journey through life "looking for the gifts" as he so often chalenged us to do. Thank you Fr. Jim for your love and dedication to all of us in your love and service to our Lord.
