I thank God for "Pop" Neel. He lead me to Christ. I am in full time ministry because He and Paul spiritually invested in me in my youth. May the Lord continue to bless the entire Neel Family.

Mr Neel was such a special person. When I lived in New Iberia before moving away, this was my home church and I miss it dearly. He will be missed.

Pioneer was the word that came to my heart. May Pop's love for Christ continue to influence 3 and 4 generations until HE returns.

To the Neel Family, our deepest sympathy to all of you. You were wonderful neighbors. Many times I asked "Bro" Neel to pray for my mom when she was ill, and he was always happy to do so. God's Blessings.

Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints. That's what immediately came to mind when I learned of Pop Neel's death. When Jesus was asked what the most important commandment was, He replied, Love God with all your heart, mind and soul, and, love your neighbor as yourself. I think Pop Neel was the epitome of living his life this way. What a truly great man.

I am 61 yrs. old I was saved when I was 17 under Pop Neel. He accepted teenagers from a local Rehabilitation facility when there were about 20 or so members in his church. He accepted us with open arms. He was a huge influence in my life. I ran a successful cabinet business, own real estate properties, & served 8 yrs. on the St.Mary Parish Council. I have the utmost love & respect for him & believe God blessed his ministry due to his acceptance of us at a time when most people wanted nothing...
