I was very surprised to hear of Wayne's passing away. I also was not aware of Diane's death last December. May the Lord grant him the reward of the good and faithful service he rendered as a priest of the Church, and give him and Diane light, happiness and peace. May you who survive him know the Lord's peace, consolation and strength in the difficult time you are going through. We will remember him in our Sunday Eucharists this weekend. May he and Diane rest in peace and rise in glory.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Wayne's death, and to read, too, of Diane's death in December, of which I was unaware. I knew both Wayne and Diane from their time in St. Louis and Chicago and admired them both. Wayne was a good and faithful priest and friend and he and Diane will be deeply missed. My prayers are with your family and with the many friends who will miss Wayne and Diane.
