Pastor Metz was ny confirming pastor April 1962. He was also the pastor who moved me to enter the ministry as well. His memory continues to live within my heart and life all these years later! Truly a man of God! Solo Deo Gloria!

Sad to see Pastor's Metz is not with us anymore, but with the Lord.He was my Religion teacher at Racine Lutheran HS.In the mid 70's.Very good man.

Pastor Metz was my family's Pastor @ St. Paul Lutheran Church and School, Harlingen, Texas in 1962 when my younger twin brother and sister were born. I first met Pastor Metz and Eunice when I moved to Texas in 1985. He had me play for services at St. Timothys when they were located on 249. He was instrumental in getting me the organist position at St. John Lutheran, Cypress. Eunice and Pastor were my surrogate parents for Rolands and my wedding April 1,1989, as mine could not travel from Ohio at the time. I have had many physical challenges over the past few years and lost contact with them but hold Pastor and Eunice in a special place...

Ours prayers to all of our family. Uncle Erv will be missed, but we know he is happy to be home, in the arms of our Lord and surrounded by our loved ones.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends. Our prayers are with you all. As the close family that you are, remember the good times. God has a wonderful place waiting for Mr. Metz.
