A home going celebration for the life of Reverend Laurise Hamilton, Jr. who passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at Tampa General Hospital, will be
held on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Highland Missionary Baptist Church, 3410 E. North Street, Tampa, Florida Dr. Julius L. Wynn, Pastor, Officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, Tampa, FL, with Military Honors.
He leaves to cherish memories of him with a loving and devoted wife of 28 years Evelyn Jean Butler Hamilton; children, Tonya Hamilton Fulton, Pamela Reeves-Hamilton, Nekeva Hamilton Johnson and husband, Rev. Reverend Hamilton was born in Holopaw, Florida to the parentage of Laurise Hamilton, Sr. and Willie B. Richardson Hamilton. He moved to the Tampa area with his family at an early age. Rev. Hamilton was a Veteran of the United States Navy and he served for two years on active duty tour. In 1965 he was released from active duty and transferred to the United States Navy Reserve and was honorably discharged in 1968. Reverend Hamilton was ordained as a Minister of Christ in 1998. He founded Hanani Missionary Baptist Church in 2005 where he was the pastor until his demise.
There will be a viewing on Friday, October 31, 2014 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Highland Missionary Baptist Church.
