Rev. Lynn Wilson McBryde, age 98, of Texarkana, Arkansas, died Saturday, August 20, 2016 in a local nursing home.
Rev. McBryde was born June 18, 1918 in Palmyra, Arkansas. He was a former Pastor of Murvaul Missionary Baptist Church, Avery Missionary Baptist Church and Unity Missionary Baptist Church and a U. S. Army veteran having served during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia McBryde and a son, Thomas McBryde.
He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Roy John McNatt of Texarkana, Arkansas; one son, Jerry McBryde of Texarkana, Texas; two sisters, Jean Cook of Waxahachie, Texas, and Nell Bell of Tyler, Texas; seven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and a number of family and friends.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Memorial Gardens with Rev. John Bryant officiating.
Visitation will be 5:00 – 6:30 P.M. Monday, August 22, 2016 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Unity Missionary Baptist Church, 2711 Texas Blvd, Texarkana, TX 75503.
