Not sure what to say?

I am sitting in my office in Los Angeles and I randomly discovered Fr. Campbell's obituary. I was a student at LaSalette Seminary in Enfield in 1973-1974, the year that the Seminary closed.
Seeing Fr. Campbell's face again after 47 years brought me back to my
youth, singing at Mary Keane Chapel and at the various parishes we visited
during my time at the Seminary. Fr. Campbell brought so much joy to the

What I remember about Robert growing up, was that he was always happy, was in a good mood, and we had a lot of fun playing games. Some of our brothers had musical instruments so we would get around the piano and sing and thoroughly enjoyed it. I missed Robert when he decided to go to LaSalette Seminary. I only had the pleasure to know Uncle Robert for about 10 years. I can remember my first Campbell picnic in Easthampton and being overwhelmed by the number of people there. As soon as Uncle Robert came over to me I felt like I belonged in the group. That's the way he made people feel. He will be missed by everyone he touched.

Brotherly Love

I will always remember Uncle Robert as a happy person. He always had a smile which made everyone else smile. He had a way about him that made you feel important. His positive attitude was contagious. He was a great person, and a great priest, a leader, and a server. I cherish all the happy memories I have of Uncle Robert throughout all the years.

Father Campbell, you were a very dear friend and inspiration. We loved just visiting you when we walked around the grounds in the evening at LaSalete. Also, when Bob did the sunday dinners at the shrine, Savita enjoyed talking with you very much. We are so glad we were able to spend an afternoon with you in Brewster, what a lovely parish it is there. We are all better people to have known you. Bob, Cindy, & Savita
