The Bereavement Committee of the KNIGHTS of COLUMBUS of Metro St. Louis offers its deepest prayerful sympathy to the KERBER Family and the Priests of the Archdiocese on the passing of FR. JOHN V. KERBER, a Priest of the Archdiocese for more than 60 years.

During Fr. Kerber's long ministry, he faithfully served the Catholic community at a wide range of assignments in St. Louis City and County and the Festus (MO) Deanery.

His dedication, compassion and presence will be fondly...

Thank you Fr. Kerber for being our priest and for serving us at Our Lady Church for many years. You fought the fight well and was faithful and obedient to your vocation. I am grateful for having been on this journey at this time with you. Rest in peace kind and gentle servant.

Bless the Family of Father Kerber.....He was a great guy....priest....Pastor and friend to many...He made being Catholic fun....Peace to you John..

I had the great pleasure to not only work with Fr. Kerber at St. Mary Magdalen but to pray with him as a parishioner for 5 years. Such a kind, gentle, sweet man who also looked a lot like my grandpa (which he heard all the time, pipe and all) and who tolerated my quirkiness and my "it's Friday!dance" I will miss you Fr. Kerber...thank you and give Jesus a hug for me! Fran

Father Kerber's first assignment was St. Sebastian Church and School in Dellwood, MO.

I was in elementary school when he arrived. He was active with the students, becoming their friend. He was a very special person and he will remain in our memories. May he Rest in Peace. Pat Taaffe Busalacchi

Father had a major impact on bringing my husband and I back to church. God loves you, Father, and so do we. Rest In Peace.

Father cared for my parents during their later years while at Our Lady. Once when Dad was hospitalized, he needed an advocate in the middle of the night. He didn't want my Mom to venture out at that hour, so he called Father Kerber who came immediately. I was there years later when Father came to the house to give Dad the Sacrament of Last Rites. He was a good and faithful servant. I pray your family is comforted by the hope we have in our faith. May he Rest In Peace.

I had the honor to be a teacher at Our Lady during the years he was our Pastor. He was very devoted to the Parish and school. He would always light up when he was with the school children especially the younger ones. He came back for a visit many times after his retiement. Rest in peace.
