Not sure what to say?

To the family of Gene Ballard,

I had the priviledge of working with Dr. Ballard in the early 70's at the Consultation Center. He was a very special man with great insight and a desire to help all that came through the door. I have thought of him with great respect over the years. Working for/with him, Walt and Chuck, has remained a fond memory for over 3 decades. Rest in Peace Dr. Ballard.

Gene, Lucy and me

My deepest sympathy at your loss Jan. Though we met only once when I did a “circuit” of Michigan visiting family and old friends, I felt you were an integral part of our family.

I saw Gene often when I was growing up. The entire family gathered at their home quite frequently. I’m adding a photo taken in 1931. I’m wondering just who that larger person is while being held by Aunt Lucy.

Jan , I am truly sorry for your loss. You may not remember me, as it goes back a long way. We all met at Kalamazoo Counseling Center. I saw you both once when you came into the Bank I was working at. I will be forever grateful for the help I got from both Gene and Walt Stump. It was a rough time and I grew so much. I got to know you then.
God Bless You.

Jan you have my heartfelt sympathy. Even though I was only your Mailman, I considered him a close friend. And I will miss him dearly. There was not a day went by and I hoped he would be there for our "chat" From day 1 I knew he was a learned man. And that I would be a better person for knowing you both.
Gene, rest in peace my friend. Tom
