Dear Borton Family. I am so sorry for loss. Rex as you know was an amazing man who made a difference in so many people´s lives. I know he made a difference in my son´s. As Rex always did he went over and above and on his own time helped my son to swim. Without Rex he never would have earned Eagle Scout. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Marlene, Ben, Pete, I cannot express my deep sadness for your loss. Rex had such a big heart for all he cared about. He lived his life with intent. It is very evident that the Love Rex had for his family, was was a devotion of gentle care, joyful experiences & absolute gratitude. May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

So sorry to learn Rex passed away. We have many fond memories of sharing good times with Rex, Marlene, Peter and Ben during Boy Scout activities with Troop 307. Rex always had a smile on his face and a positive attitude whether it was sunny or pouring rain during many Scout hikes and camp outs together. He was an excellent role model to all the boys. We especially appreciate the positive impact Rex had on our sons, Jeremy and Jeff. I think his greatest pride was experiencing Peter and Ben...

Steve and I are heartbroken over Rex's passing. He was truly the kindest, nicest and genuine person. My last conversation with Rex was in August. He told me how he subscribed to the Hallmark channel because he loved happy endings. He talked about his wonderful wife Marlene, his sons and grandsons and how much joy they gave him. Steve and Rex were friends for 30 years. Rex did beautiful work on many homes we owned. We will always hold a special place in our hearts for Rex and the family. ...
