I remember how much much Mrs. Brooks (Coleen) loved Rex. He inspired Mrs. Brooks which, in part, is why she was such a prolific and expert writer.

Rex was a wonderful, kind, gentle person.

What a wonderful life and story.

It is with fond memories and a sad heart that I read of your father's passing. I am thinking of such fun summers vacationing at Lake Tahoe, sharing adjoining cabins, days spent in the sun swimming and of family nights out having dinners in your Oakland home. I have such fond memories of Rex. He was kind of my adopted father. He was always there for me and he could give the best hugs. I could always go to him with issues and he would guide me to be a better person. Having worked for him twice I can say he is the most level headed person I've ever met.
