In the 80's and 90's Rex was heavy into the Nashville Music scene. Both as a Road manager for Gary Stewart and Dean Dillon and as an accomplished songwriter having written many songs with Dean including the Number 1 George Strait song "Famous Last Words of a Fool". Rex enjoyed the road life making sure both Dean and Gary were where they were supposed to be, when they were supposed to be when they were touring.
