Rey Matthews Obituary
On Tuesday, February 25, 2003 of Bethesda, MD, REY G. MATTHEWS. Wife of the late Carl J. Matthews; mother of Carl Matthews of Chatham, NJ and William M. Matthews of Atlanta, GA. Friends may call at JOSEPH GAWLER'S SONS, 5130 Wisconsin Ave. at Harrison St. N.W., Washington, DC, on Friday, February 28 from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 1 at the Hermon Presbyterian Church, 7801 Persimmon Tree Ln., Bethesda, MD at 10 a.m. Interment in church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hermon Presbyterian Church.

My husband and I made a TV spot with Rey for the Kemper Insurance Open.We were so proud to award her the Volunteer of the Year award for that tournament. She was a sparkling,caring individual. We will miss her. And everyone she came in contact with at the Kemper Insurance Open will remember her and miss her!!
