Not sure what to say?

Studying with Rey at the Peabody in the late 50's to early 60's and at Mrs. Cushman's Junior Conservatory Camp in Lyndonville, Vermont were unforgettable experiences for this then adolescent kid who ultimately became an amateur concert pianist performing Bach, Beethoven, Schubert, Chopin and Brahms in various locale in the US, Mexico and Europe.

Thank you very much sir for being my sponsor when I was studying at the UST Conservatory of Music. And thank you for sharing your techniques and memorable and precious time with piano music.

Dear professor Reyes:

It's so hard to believe that I will never see you walk down the corridors of UP ready to give a master class to the students! You were a consummate teacher. I will always admire your willingness and ability to teach absolutely anyone: beginners, talented and untalented, children, adults ... You name it you could teach them! You always had a funny way of expressing things that would capture the essence of the piece for the student and catch their attention...

Reynaldo Reyes was my idol, my mentor and my Yoda. The reason why I am where I am today, he picked me up in the most difficult of times and taught me not only how to be an artist, but also how to be a compassionate human being.

Those who did not know Reynaldo Reyes have missed the incredible life of a man whose kindness, wisdom and passion for music and humanity has inspired generations of students and continue to radiate around the world.

I once asked him if he would...

Awwwwww sweetie, I am so very sorry for your family's loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Love you bunches honey. You know I'm always here if you ever just want to talk.

He was a wonderful person wonderful friend, we will all miss him. Prayers going to his family.

Dearest Mr Reyes,
You were an amazing mentor to me- the best mentor anyone could ask for. When I first arrived in MD you literally took me under your wing. How many professors do that for their students? You were always patient and kind, but continued to encourage me to do my very best.
I will miss you dearly. There will never be another Reynaldo Reyes. The world will certainly never be the same without you.
Rest in peace. Thank you for making the world a better place and giving us...

I will never, ever forget him. He was the most incredible musician and teacher I have ever met.
My deepest condolences to Christina and Telly.

Adios Maestro Reynaldo Reyes. A great pianist, musician, teacher and person. Professor of music at Towson University and the Philippine Women's University.
Requiescat in pace.
It was a very sad news to hear of his passing away. I will always remember the pleasant and interesting conversations we had on music and just about any topic. Also his wonderful performances in Manila back in the 80s when I lived there. Foremost was his tribute concert to his teacher Julio Esteban Anguita in 1988...
