Not sure what to say?

I, too, grew up with Rick and had the good fortune to enjoy his music over the years. My deepest sympathy to his family.

It was sad to hear of Rick's passing. Friends since grade school, Rick could always make me laugh with his unique view of daily life. As a singer/songwriter he always had the music in him. Rick inspired all who came in contact with him. I will miss him but will always remember him...with a smile.

My condolences to Sherri and her children.I knew Rick way back in high school. We rode to school in the same car.He was the leader of the band that played at my wedding in 1976.Rick was a wonderful blues man!I am so happy I was able to see Rick perform in May at a friend's house.He was powerful in his last performance.Thank you Rick for sharing your gift of music. BEVERLY WILLIAMS

I just received a phone call from Mr. Joe Mendes who lives in Florida and he told me that "Rick" had passed. I knew "Rick" as a young child growing up. I considered him a "decent" person who really cared about people and especially music. I am very sorry for your loss.

Respectfully;
Ed Wegiel

Dear Sherry and Family:
Our hearts go out to you and your children. May all the beautiful memories you have help to sustain you in the tough days ahead. We didn't know Rick, but we knew how happy you were and that he was the center of you lives. God bless you all. With deepest sympathy,
Bill and Pat Robitaille

My heartfelt condolences to the Mendes family on the loss of Rick. Rick & I grew up together in Pawtucket years ago. Although I haven't lived there in 8 years, I was fortunate enough to get a copy of his latest CD and listen to it and smile!

We would like to express our deepest sympathy to the Mendes family. Rick's friendship along with his love for music gave us so much enjoyment. We will never forget his beautiful voice and the joy and happiness on Rick's face whenever he was performing. His music touched our lives in so many ways, as it was Rick who introduced us to the Blues which we have come to now have a new appreciation for. We will always be thankful for having the great pleasure of knowing Rick, and we will miss him...

Rick and his band performed at the "Just Say Ho" Christmas parties. He will be missed by all. Our most sincere sympathy from the committee to Rick's family.

To Sherry - my deepest heartfelt sorrow to you Sherry and to all of your family. You knew me at the cable company as Jean Johnson. I was so saddened to hear of Rick's passing and if there is anything you need, just say the word. Rick was wonderful, so full of life and so kind and fun loving. I will always cherish the few times we spent together. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, Sherry. Fondly, Jeannie
