Not sure what to say?

Richard was a great guy. I loved his wide ranging of knowledge in so many areas. We especially shared our love of music especially the operas of Verdi. We both loved the movies of Hitchcock. As well as so many other films. It was a joy to know him. I adopted his beloved Maine Coon Cat named Casey. He is a great companion for me! My sympathies to the entire family. Sincerely, Steve

I spent hours after class with him in his office learning the fundamentals of music theory, composition, and counterpoint. Richard was a teacher of mine at Colorado College. He taught me many things, but most memorable were "anti-penultimate, penultimate, and ultimate" usage, and lots about Opera :). Our class went to see Eugene Onegin in Denver; a fun outing. He was a good person and great professor. May he rest in peace.

I knew Richard since 1984. Richard was my intellectual friend. A great cook, a person to travel with. I learned opera, became a foodie with him. Finally he will rest in peace. Your only friend, George

Richard Agee was a music colleague whose knowledge and studies covered a wide range of subjects. He was an enthusiastic scholar and excellent cook. He had a funny wit and made keen observations. He was a supportive colleague and a committed professor. On behalf of Stephen Scott and myself, thank you, Richard, for...
