Not sure what to say?

Dear Mrs. Ahrens & Family,

I was shocked and saddened to find out today of Rick's sudden passing back in November. I found out just this morning when speaking with one of his Pharmacy coworkers. I have known Rick over 28 years, worked with him in the OPT Pharmacy at the VA Medical Center and then as a coworker here at Mercy Hospital-St. Louis. He was ALWAYS a kind, generous and compassionate man and went above & beyond for his family, friends and coworkers. If you needed help,...

Rick will be sorely missed at St. John's. I am a nurse who works on the ortho floor where Rick was our go-to Pharmacist. From the first day I started my job and met him 5 years ago he was so wonderful and helpful, I knew he was a special man. He was by far the best Pharmacist at St. John's (just ask all of the ortho nurses!)and we will really miss him. My heart goes out to his family during this time.

Dear Terri and Family...so sorry to hear of Rick's passing. When I was at LSMS, Rick would stop in my office and we would have great chats about duck hunting north of St. Charles off the Mississippi. Saw him about a year ago at Mercy Hospital, passing in the hallway. Naturally, we talked duck hunting! I considered him a good friend and I admired him. Rick, Terri and the kids are in our thoughts and prayers.

To the Ahrens family,

May the Lord be with you during this time of grief and loss - Rick was a great friend and coworker. We will all miss him. Please remember to accept the help and love from friends and family during this time of grief. You will be in our prayers.

Daryl Wesche - Overland, MO

Terri, my thoughts and prayers for peace during this time and in the future are with you and the kids. I hope the memories you have all made with Rick over the years will bring you peace throughout the years. Susan (Jeep) Jones

I am deeply sorry for the loss of your father. I know that there are no words that will ease this burden, but I hope that your memories of him will bring you some comfort during this most difficult time. Hugs to you all!

So sorry for your loss. May God give you comfort in this time of loss. Rick was a great friend.

Serena and Ahrens family,
My deepest condolences during this difficult time. May time and your own faith bring you the healing needed after your loss.
Maria Woodring

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.
