Not sure what to say?

Denise,
I am so sorry to hear of Rick's passing. I fondly remember the Aetna days, the picnics, softball games always being full of laughter. Ricky was always a part of those memories. Please accept my heartfelt condolences.

Uncle Ricky

How sorry I am that you and I did not have a chance to talk before this time came. You and I shared my first beer together on a river in upsate New York and I will be sure to think of you each time I take a sip.

Aunt Denise, Ricky, Kelly and Tracy - I cannot express enough how sorry I am for your loss. But one thing I know is that your husband and father would not want you to put your lives on hold for him, but just remember him.

Rickey's Family:
Our family shares in your grief loosing such a wonderful man, husband, father, son, brother and Friend. I well recall the great time we (my brother Rob, Larry Robinson, Kevin Murphy, and Gary Breuer and I) had when we drove to the Florida Keys in 1974. Our brothers Dennis(1947-1993) and Robert (1952-2001 WTC) (both VSFD) are with Rickey in heaven, and our family prays for your comfort and peace.

Sincerely, Pat and Doug Caufield, Massapequa, NY

Dear Denise, Ricky, Kelly, & Tracy,
My love to all of you at this very difficult time. Ricky loved you all very much and spoke of his love for all of you openly. I have been blessed by knowing him. My prayers are with you. There is a poem that has helped me in the past that I would like to share: (I do not know the author but it is beautiful...)

THE MEASURE OF A MAN
Not "how did hie die?" But "How did he live."
Not "What did he gain?" But "What did he...

Ricky (Ollie)
It would be hard for us to think about the 7th Precinct and not have you as part of our special memories. We had so much fun in those days. You were one of the "good guys". We send our condolences to your famliy.

Ricky,
I don't know what to say other than "Thank You". Thank you for the laughter, conversations, insight, and friendship of the last ten years at the Firehouse, I wish it was longer. Thank you for the advice, concern and interest you have always shown for my police career.
"May the road rise to meet you.
and until we meet again. may God hold you in the palm of his hand."

You will be missed
