Dear Linda and family , Please accept my deepest condolences on this very sad news. Richard and I worked together in Asia. Richard´s knowledge and wisdom always made my job easier. More importantly his character and personality made him a pleasure to work with. I will miss our engaging discussions since retirement . Arthur McCaughan

Dear Linda and family, it´s so sad to hear the news of Rich´s passing. He was a remarkable leader and so friendly to work with. I always remember the fun time at the Hairy crab parties at your house. Thank you Linda for sharing the old family pictures in the recent gathering in Hong Kong. Will miss Rich a lot. My heartfelt condolences to you and family. Take good care. Barbara

Richard hired me when he was in Hong Kong in 1988. He taught me the A,B,C of the business. Photos showed Richard and I signed agreements with customers in China and Indonesia. He is a big guy with a big heart. He used to occupy part of my seat when we traveled together in economy class to China in those years. I miss him.

Linda and family, I was deeply saddened to hear of Richard´s passing. Richard was not only a great leader in Amoco (later BP), but also someone who truly cared about people. His personal mentoring meant a great deal to me and others.  I will always remember his wisdom, kindness, and the wonderful sense of humor that made working with him so enjoyable. I feel truly fortunate to have known him and to have learned from him. Please accept my heartfelt condolences. My thoughts are with...
