We met Richard only once and only for an evening, but we will ever remember it and him. Our condolences to his partner Mike and to all the Ancheta family. May Richard's memory be for a blessing, as was his life.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Mike and the Ancheta family. May you find peace.
The best description of Dick I can think of is that he was never at a loss for words, and I will certainly miss those words. He had the most persuasive way about him!!
He wanted the best for all of us, so let's keep the faith.

Richard was someone who put family first. You could always count on Richard for a lending hand, a remarkable suggestion on how to fix something, enjoyable conversation during a meal together. He was a jack of all trades. He was a brother-in-law you could always depend on. He meant the best for all of his actions and support he provided to so many you could not name them all. If there was an errand to be done or project to be planned and completed, Richard knew the answer and how to get it...

Mike and the Ancheta family: I am so sorry for your loss. Dick was such a great guy to know. My friend Margie and I had so much fun having lunch with him every few months and catching up on all his travels, house remodeling, dog and cat stories, and his wonderful life with Mike. We all were blessed to have Dick in our lives.

I am sad to say I did not know Richard although I work closely with Mike Waddell and my heart not only goes out to Richard's family but also to Mike. From reading Richard's obituary, I can see that his love of people and animals and his joy for living mirrors what Mike Waddell is like. Their hearts were bonded and the loss is tragic. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this sad time.
