I remeber babysitting Cord when he was a baby. That was a long time ago. Memories of the Andersons are always good ones. Dick will be missed by many.

Mr. Anderson will always be remembered as a wonderful man who really loved his students and gave his all. I was honored to be his student woodshop secretary in 1975. He always made his secretaries a hope chest exactly to our specifications. My hope chest was at the foot of my bed which I kept my most cherished items in. He touched so many lives and made a difference, his mission was accomplished.

Mr. Anderson was one of the greatest teachers I've ever had, the skills I learned from him over my three years of wood shop have helped me in life more then I might have realized as a young high school student and I feel lucky to have met and learned from such an amazing person. I can still hear him yell "Time to go home to mamma!" as we would walk out of six period.

I can also say that Mr. Anderson was my favorite teacher at Atwater High School. My Sophomore, Junior and Senior years in Mr. Anderson's Wood Shop are memories I will never forget. I also attended Mr. Anderson's adult classes. What i loved about him was that if you took his class seriously he was always there for you. He would make every effort to see that you succeeded and that your project was the best it could be. I made many pieces of furniture in his shop at AHS.

I know my husband, Doug, wrote earlier but I just wanted to send my sympathies. He was a wonderful man who I know loved his family very much. When I was his woodshop teacher, he spoke of all of you everyday. He cherished you all. I so admired that. I am so sorry to hear he had suffered, but rejoice that he is free of it now. May the Lord comfort you all and fill that empty space that you all must have.

Mr. Anderson was fine man and my most memorable teacher. My Wife Liana and I still have the hope chest he made for her in Atwater High school in 1980 at the foot of our bed. He is in Peace.

I was Mr. Anderson's teacher's assistant during my senior year at Atwater High School (1979) and also his secretary for his Adult Evening classes. Mr. Anderson was one of the kindest men I had ever met. Mr. Anderson would talk with such love for his family. How we laughed also, especially with his yellow "duck" truck!! I will forever hold his memory in my heart. I'm terribly sorry for such a tremendous loss. My prayers are with all his family at this time.
