Not sure what to say?

Sorry just found out about Dick passing , take care Ginger an GOD bless the Apple fam.

He was the best coach/teacher: inspiring to us young athletes. Always making us believe in ourselves, learn from our mistakes, that´s it is OK to lose as long as you tried your best: I owe so much to him. These lessons gave me the foundation to be the person I have become. Thank you so much!

He was the vice principal of my junior high in Athens, Greece. I got placed in detention and instead of being kicked out of school I was assigned to do the rounds for a week with Mr. Apple. He helped me work out a lot of things. A few years later we met again at a bar and I introduced her to my girlfriend who I later married. He was a great guy with a true joy of life.

He was a great teacher. Kind and compassionate.

Dear Ginger and family, Please accept our love & condolences for Richards passing. No doubt he is dancing and celebrating 'Zorba' style with my Dad. Thankful to have met you both and for the memories Nicole & Betty Demos

Sincere condolences . I remember him well and he was the best gymnastics teacher ever!

Many condolences to Mr Apple's family. He was my PE teacher at the International School of Lusaka, and only this week I was thinking of him as I watched the Olympic divers, and recalled the time he jumped off the 10m diving board with me during a swimming lesson, when I could not conquer my fear. Like all excellent teachers, he always considered how best to support a student if they were struggling in some way, because he always wanted us to get the best out of everything. RIP Mr Apple.

Mr Apple was my home room teacher and PE teacher during my high school years ( 1978-83) at ISL in Zambia. A wonderful humorous man, but strict when the requirement arose. May his soul rest in peace, and our condolences to his family.

I have so many fond memories of times spent together with Dick and Ginger, sleeping under the stars and boating on Lake Kariba; the famous Zorba dance at the Marine Corps Ball at the Ambassadors Residence in Lusaka and so many others. His support and advice given to me when I was at a major cross roads in my life steered and guided me well. Rest in peace. Condolences to Ginger and the family.
