I am truly sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of working with Richard for a time, back in the 80s. Richard was a fine gentleman, a great conversationalist, and an all-around good guy! I enjoyed talking with him and listening to his many amusing anecdotes. Always know that Richard enhanced the lives of countless people in countless ways.
May this, and your many happy memories, comfort you.

Mr. Ast,
Sir, I didn't know you but I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the U.S. Army Air Forces during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

So sorry for your loss! Dick loved to laugh & talk about many subjects, especially "jazz concerts". He always wanted us to go to one! I felt bad when he had to leave the Colony Ret. Homes because he liked it so well, but I'm sure his spirit will visit us occassionally.
