Dick and his wife Rachel were great friends of ours and are dearly missed. I ran cross country with Dick and recognized early on his great passion for sports as a developer for both fitness and character. The sports/education community has lost a great champion.

To Coach A. Thank you for helping my son Brendan as a middle school and HS XC and Track runner, taking him to away junior races and tutoring him after school in Math. Your caring nature and kind heart were greatly appreciated. RIP Coach A. Long may you run!

Greatness. does not describe Mr. A . always great to talk to as a student, as a parent and as a fellow traveler on the same plane to Florida. So lucky to have graced the earth with you. Peace, Stephanie (Brzoska) Couture.

Coach Atkinson assisted me and my K-9 partner many years ago located a student who was missing behind Southwick High. It was his suggestion of an area of woods behind the school that put us in the right area to locate the student and save their life. Coach Atkinson deserves more credit than us for that. Certainly reading all the tributes from everyone this shouldn't be a surprise. RIP Coach Atkinson.

Coach A is and always will be a legend. He was a tremendous leader be it in academics, sports, coaching or life. It was a humble privilege to know him, stand side by side with him and be advised by him. Family, please accept my and my family´s condolences in this difficult time. Rest In Peace Coach.
