To Ricks family, friends and colleagues- I was shocked and saddened to hear of Ricks sudden passing. Rick played an important role in my life when in 1981 he took me under his wing and taught me how to be a lawyer, especially because he did so at a difficult time in my life and in his. Ricks tough exterior couldnt mask his kind heart. Even though we lost touch over the years, I will miss him and always think of him fondly as my mentor.
