Christmas in Nashville 2002.

My family and I enjoyed Uncle Dick's several visits to Nashville, especially during Christmas times. He always took a lot of photos, including several of my messy office (with commentary). We had fun taking him to see the city sights, especially his favorites: Christ Church Cathedral and Cheekwood Botanical Gardens. And, of course, the Big Boy restaurants! Cherished memories. Rest in peace, Uncle Dick. We'll see you in the morning.

May his soul rest in peace and rise in glory. Having known the family in two different parishes and over many years, our prayers are with you all. At Eucharist tomorrow, special intentions will be offered for Richard.

God be with Dick and the Austin family.

We will miss Uncle Dick. He was a very special member of the family and generously shared his memories and caring. He remains in our hearts and thoughts as he journeys into restful peace.

Although the loss of Uncle Dick is without measure, his absence from us is only temporary. Through the blessings of Jesus, we will all be together again one day. He was always very witty & fun to be around. I wish I could have had more time to know & spend with him. God bless you uncle Dick!

We will miss you, Uncle Dick. You were always instrumental in keeping the connections between us Meriwether girls and our Austin clan. I am so glad you had Uncle Jason to be there for you in your time of need. We miss you, but know that you are now basking in the Light of God. Love and Light, Candie

I was so sorry to hear about the loss of Uncle Dick. I still remember the first time I met him. I had the opportunity to get to know him over a weekend visit to Nashville. His family all love very much. His kindness will not be forgotten.

My deepest sympathy goes out to the family of Richard Austin. I cherished the time I had with him and considered him to be my friend. I will miss him tremendously and am sending this from Key West and am sorry I am not there.
