We became friends with pastor avant through our aunt Jane Dolby who was a member of cavalry . We are saddened to hear of his passing Pastor Avant did get to visit Bermuda and we from Bermuda visit him at his home a few times. May God comfort you his family love the Hollis family from bermuda

I had the great pleasure of meeting Apostle Avant in 2014 when I met My husband Allen Bowers. Allen introduced me to him. My husband grew up and was/still is a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Apostle Avant was very friendly when I met him and seemed so humble. Even though I didn't get a chance to get to know him better. I can tell he was a very godly man. He seemed as though he would help anyone in need. May God bless and keep his immediate family and the Calvary Baptist Church family...

A very special and loveable man of God. I will truly miss his seeing his smiling face. Many years under his ministry. He said a lot of encouraging words. Took me under his wings., even when I moved along he still asked me. I m sad that he is no longer with us ,but God said come on home. Surely your work is finished there.
