To the Babler Family:
I met Richard several years ago at the Lee Rec Center, arthritis water
exercise class. I enjoyed talking to him. Richard always had a funny
story or joke. He had a knack for making people laugh. He always talked
about his loving family.
My prayers and thoughts are with you.

Hazel, Evelyn, and Sandra,
Dick always made me feel welcome and as part of the group at the Legions' dinners. I also enjoyed being part of his bingo team. He will be greatly missed. My prayers and thoughts are with you all at this time.

Hazel, Evelyn and Sandra
I am sorry for your loss in the passing of Dick. While I only met him once for dinner, I enjoyed his stories of my mother and father in law, (Daisy and Herb) both of whom passed prior to me meeting Mary Beth. I sincerely feel my life was greatly enriched having had the opportunity to meet him and enjoy this one dinner with Dick and Hazel. Thank you so much for this memorable evening while we were in town. My prayers are with you and your family.

There will be the vacant chair, but though we no more possess him, still our hearts his memory bear. But awhile ago we gathered, friendship beaming in each eye. Now the golden cord is severed. He has passed to realms on high." May God Speed!

Dear Hazel,Evelyn and Sandra,
I am so sorry for your loss of a wonderful husband and father. You must know what Dick meant to our family. My father thought of him as a brother. He was Daisy's favorite bartender.
Bless you all, and please do not hesitate to let us know if we can be there for you in anyway. I am so glad that Steve was able to meet Dick.
Love,
Steve and Mary Beth Griffin

Please accept my deepest sympathies at your sad loss. Mr. Babler raised a wonderful family and I have been a friend to Evelyn for many years. We actually met briefly, while I was in DC on the Joint Staff. EJ insisted that we meet. He was a great man, a loving father and husband...and a Patriot.
