I worked with Richard many years while at Hallmark. He was very helpful and had a dry sense of humor that made you laugh. My deepest sympathies to Wilma, family and friends.

My first boss who have me a shot at leadership..saw something in me that I will be thankful for, for the rest of my life. Richard will be missed!

My condolences to the Ballard family. I just arrived in town to find I was too late to attend Richard's visitation. I worked with Richard for many years at Hallmark Cards. He was a good man with high principals and work ethic. I know he will be sorely missed by all that knew him.

Richard had such a wonderful sense of humor. He was a great person to work with. So sorry to hear about him passing. We will always remember him.

I only knew Richard as rcmodel from THR, but want you to know that he meant an awful lot to me, not just for his knowledge, but his willingness to help anyone and everyone with his wisdom and wit.
