Dick and I taught at Rockland High School in the late 60's; he then moved to Needham High, but I ran into him one day on Centre St. in West Roxbury, and again after we had both retired, at an adult education class at St. Susanna's in Dedham. He was a good man and will be greatly missed. With my prayers and sympathy for his family. Ellen Donahue

We'll always remember Mr. Barrett's hearty laugh, great sense of humor & wise cracks. And how he even laughed out loud at his own one liners after he delivered them. We always enjoyed talking with him at family gatherings. He was always in a good mood and ready to share a story about the good old days in JP & beyond. Such an honorable man, husband & father who left a wonderful legacy behind. We will miss him. Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to Agnes, Rich, Margaret, Ginny, Christine & your...

The Barrett's were wonderful neighbors to all on Chesbrough Rd. We had great times with all the kids. Our parents would get together on weekends and we would sit at the top of the stairs and listen to them laughing. Many funny stories we still talk about, from 911 at the Chinese restaurant on the parkway New Years Eve to to the bees in the Barrett's back yard. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

The pain of losing someone in death is the most devastating pain that one can feel. May God comfort strengthen and soothed the family and friends during this difficult time of need. My sincere condolences to the family .Psalms 94:19.. GP

Please know of my prayers and Mass for your husband, father and grandfather -- and for all of you as you grieve. I have such fond memories. I'm no longer in Massachusetts - otherwise I would be there in person. Blessings, Fr. Joe O'Keefe, SJ
