The Family of Richard Base,
I am so glad we got to meet Richard, Elly, Dean and Ann and Dana's family at the Westlake Reunion, 2007. I just today received this obituary and thoroughly enjoyed reading it - someone did a great job of writing and I found his life most interesting! My sincere condolences to Ron and Ruth and all the family. Sincerely, Sandra (Westlake)Whatley

Dena, I know this is such a heartfelt loss for you and your family. Blessed are the memories and the wonderful family that will continue your "daddy's" values and passions in life.
It's a legacy any man would be proud of.
With the most sincerest condolences,

What a beautiful tribute to your dad in the obituary, Dena. I wish I had the opportunity to know him better. Our prayers are with all of your family as you adjust to life without him here on earth, but looking forward with joyful expectation to a joyful reunion in heaven!

I really enjoyed talking to Rich at Mackenzie's vollyball games about all our mutual friends and aquaintences from Pomona. We had a great time and I looked forward to seeing him. He will be missed.

Liz Leavens (Maria's mom)

All our memories of Rich are wonderful and happy ones. He was such a proud grandfather to Mackenzie and loved watching her play at all her volleyball
tournaments. Our prayers are with all his family.

I am really sad to hear about the passing of Rich. The last time I'd seen him or Elly was back in the early 80's at a restaurant with friends. It never ceased to amaze me that Rich was so knowledgable about so many things. In fact, you could start a conversation with him and all of a sudden so much time had passed. Even looking back on that time, I know he will truly be missed. My heart goes out to the Elly, family and friends.

I remember Richard from our growing up days in Pomona; a neat guy!!

What a wonderful friend. From school days until our dottering ages, always a friend. Bobbie, my Husband told me many stories of what Richard and his family did for the Church that Bobbie's Dad was Ministering, The Church of God. What a great family. Our Sympathy goes out to the whole Base family...Richard will be missed, but remembered fondly.
