Not sure what to say?

I am Dick´s SIL and I remember when he first dated Mary. He found humor and laughter in so many otherwise dismal moments. From the messages he lived a generous life giving and finding friends at every turn. Mary and the children were at the center of his world; the love they all so richly deserved coming full circle. God Rest his soul. Jennifer

Richard was a true friend. I met them years ago when they would come in and Volunteer at radio station KBVM during the sharathon to help raise money. Richard and Mary came in and always brought a special blessing to us all just by being there with their love, faith and humor. They are and will always be a true blessing in my life. Thank you Jesus for Richard and Mary Bass. Keith Neuman

I knew Dick from Clackamas County Communications (C-Comm) when I worked at City of Portland Radio shop. Always enjoyed his sense of humor & all of us benefitted from his wisdom & experience.

Single Memorial Tree

Yes, I remember the day It was on the mourn That I saw a ship a sailing Sea was calm Winds were fair Flag it snapped Home port was nigh Richard still young Cap boxed just right And he was at the rail With shipmates once again.---rs

To the Bass Family I offer my condolences for a Man I looked up to for many years as a friend. I miss him dearly. God bless and be with you all.

Sorry to hear of Dicks passing. I have good old memories of our childhood in Milwaukie. We Watched many home movies at his home. Once he drove his dads 36 Plymouth to my house and told me my brother was at his house, did I want to talk to him? He handed a mic to me, after a few words brother raised up from hiding in the back seat laughing.. No radio, just a mic and speaker setup he had made. The world has lost one of the good guys and God has gained another .

Dick bass was a good friend and wonderful man helped a lot of people who needed help over the years I will miss him so much I had a chance to talk to him 2 months back had been a while but he was still the same Dick Bass and amazing person I loved him very much as a friend and you could always count on him. Dick Bass was a wonderful Volunteer of ST Vincent DePaul.
