Not sure what to say?

When the world lost Rick, we all lost a treasure. It was my privilege to work with Rick at American Greetings. His concern for his sons, our community and the world will always be remembered as will his intellect, his creativity and his sense of humor.

To the Bastian Family,

I wanted to express my sympathy in the loss of your loved one. I had the pleasure of working with Rick. He always greeted me with a smile, he will be missed.

God Bless,
Sonya Yates

I ONLY KNEW RICK FOR A VERY SHORT TIME BUT IN THAT TIME I GOT TO KNOW AND LOVE RICK. HE CAME INTO MY LIFE THROUGH MY MOM AND LOVED ME AND MY FAMILY UNCONDITIONLY. RICK TRULY HONESTLY BELIEVED IN ME AND FOR THAT I AM FOREVER GRAFTFUL. RICKS ABSENCE IN MY LIFE HAS CAUSED MUCH GRIEF BUT RICK WOULD NOT WANT ME TO BE SAD FOR EVER SO RICK I AM TRYING MY HARDEST TO MOVE ON AND I HOPE YOUR HAVING ENOUGH FUN UP THERE FOR ALL OF US!

Rick was a wonderful person. I use to talk to him often about work and personal issues. I always left his office feeling good. I will miss him and his dry sence of humor.

He was a wonderful father to his children and mine and never a day went by that we didn't talk about how proud we were of all of them and what our hopes and dreams were for them. No man has ever loved his children more. Love and laughter were always the order of the day and he...

We have lost a wonderful individual.

One day about 7 years ago I responded to an advertisement for a rental on W.Blvd and I can still see his beautiful smile when he answered the door.

Rick was a neighbor, landlord, and most of a friend to me. I will cherish that grin of his.

Rick, I hope your making good use of those golf clubs I gave you.

My prayers are with your family and friends on the loss of such a special and inspiring person.

My sympathies go to you and your family. For the past several years I worked with Rick. His kindness, sense of humor, honesty, and guidance made a tremendous impression on me. I feel honored to have known him.

May you find strength at this difficult time in the Lord's ever present Grace...
