I am so sorry to hear about Dr. Batman's passing. I was a student of his at SFSU and took every class he taught. He was an amazing instructor and brought such life to his history classes. I always sensed that he thoroughly enjoyed his work and he encouraged students who sought his help and advice. His wealth of knowledge and stories influenced the history classes that I taught. May your many memories of him bring you joy and peace.

Dick and his wife Ann have been amazing supporters of Ritter Center, helping Marin County's least fortunate residents, through both time and treasure for many many years. Dick and Ann represent the best of our community, or any community. Our sincerest condolences to the Batman family.
