Read MoreI remember Dick as a great pitcher in hardball and I was his catcher. Every pitch made my hand hurt. He had eye lashes forever and was the best looking guy in any crowd. We were 15 or 16 and he was just a cool guy.

We were saddened to learn of Dick's recent death. Our mother was a resident at Arletta's until almost a year ago which is how we got to know him. We send our thoughts and prayers to his family.

Dick was a great guy. He will be missed. Will always remember playing softball with him. He was an excellent shortstop. Good memories of hiking with him in the Dishman Hills and growing up together.
