Dear Diana and Dick's family, Dick was a wonderful friend and a role model for lawyers throughout New York, not only for his work at Simpson Thatcher and other well-known programs like New Visions but because of his early work in creating Community Law Offices in East Harlem in the late 60s and early 70s so that lawyers from the major firms, including his, could provide pro bono counsel to low-income families and individuals faced with the overwhelming problems of poverty in New York; we...

Dick invested his time and team to help a community bank in Harlem, under attack. We´ll never forget his investment in saving Carver Federal Savings Bank, still in business. Bless you Dick. Will miss you forever. Debbie Wright (Former Chairman and CEO)
