BELLAMY, Richard J. – Of Flint, age 87, died Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at his residence.



 



Funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, January 30, 2016 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Cliff Jordan officiating.



 



A Military service will be conducted by Chevrolet Motor Post #3087 following the funeral service.



 



Burial in Flint Memorial Park.



 



Visitation 2-8 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.



 



Richard was born in Goodrich, Michigan on December 6, 1928, the son of Walter and Helen (Welsh) Bellamy.



He served honorably in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.



 



Surviving are sons, Mark and wife Mary of Vassar,        



Mitchell B. and wife Suzanne of Goodrich;



      



daughters, Helen and husband Ken Voeks of Millington,           Karen L. and husband Nick Birner of Davison;



 



daughter-in-law, Brenda Bellamy of Davison;



            



14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren;



 



several nieces, nephews and many friends.



 



He was preceded in death by his wife, Rita; son, Matthew; daughter, Kayla and sister, Ann Hill.
