Not sure what to say?

Oh my goodness! Something must have drawn me here - it's 7 years, to the day, since Rich passed away. We only met the once. I'd not long begun the journey to discover more about the origins of our shared surname and on one of my frequent trips to SF from the UK, he invited me over to Petaluma. The man I met was fascinating and encouraged me to understand what links might exist between us. I've made such progress since that time and it's such a sadness that I'm not able to share that with him....

Still missing you dear friend. Your legacy continues and you remain in our thoughts. Tim and Pam Haworth

It has been two years since we lost a very dear and special friend. Rich Benbrook was gifted with enormous artistic talent. Oftentimes an artist imbued with such talent may entrap themselves in a protective cocoon, insulating themselves from comment and critique. That was not Rich. It is rare to find someone with such talent who was so accessible, so human. We continue to miss him. We are happy to know that his work lives on and that I, along with my partners at Graton Gallery continue...

Intro: Our friend Richard passed away a few weeks ago.
My wife and I were friends with Dinah and Richard for some 45 years...but she knew them at least 4 or 5 years longer than I.

I call this one my "Magnum Opie" , A La the Andy Griffith Show. Not great prose, but from the heart of Mayberry....and mine.

Farewell, Richard!

You enriched my...

He was a close and great, interesting friend and great artist. I sorely miss him being in this world.

Dearest Dinah and family,
It's not easy to find the right words to express myself but I'm hoping you will find comfort in knowing how many lives Richard has influenced. We had some memorable talks years ago and he definitely has influenced my life.
I still have that little stool he was going to throw away Dinah it has many coats of paint throughout the years...It always reminds me of Richard.
He might be gone but he won't be forgotten!

My heart goes out to Richards family. Richard and I were friends in the 60s and early 70s. I have some of his early paintings. To this day I think of him as being an enlightening influence in my life and that was almost 50 years ago. Rest in peace old friend.
