My sympathy and prayers go to Coach's family. The coach was a great friend and mentor to me many years ago, as he was to so many youngsters in the Greendale School District. Everyone loved him. I remember when he gave me the "job" (boy, that made me feel important) to unlock the locker rooms before gym class. Hi Rick-
I'm so sad to hear about your Father. He was quite a guy, and I'm sure a wonderful father. I still have great memories of "coach" Bergner. He always had words of encouragement and wisdom for the Greendale football team when we played together. He certainly did touch many lives positively throughout the years. I know his philosophy on sport and on life certainly affected me during the formative years. He was a blessing to many. "Coach" and your family will be in my prayers.
