A limerick for Coach Bergner

We once had a line coach named Dick,

He taught all the Panthers to "Stick"

Without helmet or Pads,

He'd scrimmage the lads,

And then he teach us a "Trick"

Barb,
I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Though I never met your Dad, I always enjoyed your stories of him. I know how much you loved and honored him. Keep the wonderful memories close.
With my deepest condolences,
Jeannie

Dear Barbara,
I want to send our condolences on the loss of your dad. He was such a wonderful person -- i just always remember the big smile on his face, and what an impact he had on the lives of so many others. What a full and well-lived life!
Sincerely, Kathryn (Nevala) Christie

My family wishes you all the best. My mom and your mom and dad were great friends since childhood. I remember your dad when I was coaching softball at Greendale HS. He came to watch and gave me instant credability.
God Bless,
Mary Leifer-Walters

Hi Rick-
I'm so sad to hear about your Father. He was quite a guy, and I'm sure a wonderful father. I still have great memories of "coach" Bergner. He always had words of encouragement and wisdom for the Greendale football team when we played together. He certainly did touch many lives positively throughout the years. I know his philosophy on sport and on life certainly affected me during the formative years. He was a blessing to many. "Coach" and your family will be in my prayers.
