Not sure what to say?

Being around him was a real joy because of his humor, spirit and intellect. A great person, family man and partner to Joan.

Thanking of you and your family during this time

Dick Biggs was a tireless advocate for those who could not afford legal counsel. Hearty thank you to all you did for so many older citizens - I know they would ALL salute you!

Now Dad and Dick are together.

Dick was a great neighbor and friend and I'm thankful that I had the chance to learn from him and talk with him, and enjoy his lovely garden. Dick's kindness (and Joan's too!) helped me through some difficult times last year, and I am so grateful for that. I will miss drinking Henry's with him on the patio. I look forward to hoisting one in his honor this afternoon.

Sorry to be in Southern California today and unable to attend Dick's service. He and Joan were such great hosts to me and I will always remember the happy and stimulating conversations at their home. I wish the best for Joan and the family.

Dear Joan and family - I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to know Dick. My thoughts and love are with you all.

i will miss saying a formal goodbye at the old church on thursday. i will be getting a broken wrist attended to.
so many memories--first meeting both of you teaching jr.hi kids at the unitarian church; watching the boy's grow up at ainsworth, the heartbreaking loss of jeff; the seemingly effortless parties at the edgewood house; and, most of all, i remember the devotion of each of you to the other.
joan, when life slows a bit after all the ceremony and details are taken...

Dick was an early mentor in the law and later a good friend with whom I shared a love of baking (bread) and gardening. I will miss him.
