Grandpa and Maddie Deaver

Dear Aunt Arlene,

I know that I will miss Uncle Dick's presence at the next holiday gathering that I will be a part of - there was such comfort and security knowing he was always there - the top man behind the scenes taking care of things that needed to be done.

I will never forget our family trips up to Lake Gogebic - the first and last time I baited my own hooks when I fished with Uncle Dick.

I am glad that I got to know Uncle Dick as an adult. I got a chance to see his...

There were different special events Dick and I both worked for the Catholic high schools. Often I would need to take direction from Dick on where to leave tables after an All A's Walk, etc. Even when I screwed up it was easy to take correction from him or to be even somewhat chastised for the wrong tree I put...
